I am a Certified Hypnotist and member of the National Guild of Hypnotists. I have experienced firsthand the powerful benefits of hypnosis in my own life, and I am so excited to help others create the life they want with this fascinating technique.
Hypnosis is helpful for all kinds of issues, but I am especially interested in how it can transform anxiety, ADHD, depressed thoughts, and reconnecting to yourself and to the present moment in an era of perpetual distraction.
My other joys include gardening, birdwatching, sci-fi novels, and taking endless photos of my two cats.
Hypnosis is a naturally occurring brain state that we move in and out of every day. You may have heard about delta brainwaves, the slow brainwave state we enter in sleep. In hypnosis, we enter the relaxed brainwaves (alpha or theta) that come before sleep. In this state, your conscious mind quiets so that your subconscious mind can be spoken to. This is a powerful thing, since your subconscious mind is what shapes your habits and perspectives!
The answer is yes! Anything you really wish you could change about yourself but seem to struggle with actually changing, hypnosis can help.
Our subconscious minds are taking in information constantly, forming patterns and choosing beliefs and actions. We may realize those beliefs and actions are no longer what we want, but it’s hard to change when our subconscious mind is trying to keep us on a path it sees as safe.
Hypnosis can help us get out of our own way to “rewire” our subconscious mind to let go of old information, to perceive new patterns, and to build new habits, naturally and with nearly no effort.
Hypnosis is safe, and you are always in control. A hypnosis session is just a process of guiding you to your subconscious mind to make suggestions that you want to make. No one can make you suddenly do or believe something against your will in hypnosis. I’m here to facilitate a natural, helpful, life changing process, not to make you dance like a chicken.
Almost everyone can, though everyone’s experience of hypnosis may be very different. Some may not feel like anything happened at all, especially for the first couple sessions, and some may completely fall asleep. Almost
